B & T Steel spread their footprint across Africa

Steel construction company, B & T Steel, are celebrating their 15th birthday in style by securing a mammoth Namibian project. With a five star NOSA rating, advanced German machinery, an ISO:9001 accreditation in the pipeline and unwavering standards as far as ethics and safety is concerned, it comes as no surprise that B & T Steel have been commissioned to work on the Ohorongo cement project.

Congratulations to all at B&T for winning two awards at the prestigious NOSA Regional Awards Ceremony held on 16th July. These awards are presented to companies for their efforts to further the occupational health, safety and environmental risk management of employees.

Cutting Edge: Steel fabricator invests in high-tech cutting, drilling solution

The recent installation of a Kaltenbach cutting and drilling line at the B&T Steel facility, in Delmas, is expected to increase the fabricator's processing capacity to up to 700 tons of steel a month. The Kaltenbach line, acquired from distributor of capital equipment First Cut, will also ensure fully automated steel production for the company, and technical director Norman van Vuuren says it should enable the company to expand into new markets. "The company has set high targets for future growth and, therefore, invested in new equipment to improve our capacity and customer service going forward," he says, adding that the solution is arguably the most advanced and efficient drilling, cutting, shearing and punching machine manufactured currently.

BT Steel sponsors the Hibberdene Ski-Boat Couta Classic 2010 Competition
